Nice post and interview! Jackie shared some really good information here about leadership. I wrote a blog post a couple weeks ago about the very question you posed: Are leaders born or can they learn to become great leaders. I reviewed Dan Coyle's book "The Talent Code" and it shed a lot of light for me about learning and developing various skills (including leadership). The book essentially confirmed, with proof, what I believed...that you can develop various skills and talents. Check out that book for some more good insights.

My favorite line here is, "create a sense of community in which people work together to shape a desired future."

Bingo.

Also, companies often use the holiday season to enhance a sense of community. Your post makes me think we should get busy planning for the bonding part of it.
